An amazing location nearby the city centre and the green Vondelpark. The hotel is located at the Overtoom 13 in the former timber trade ‘Houthandel van de Vijsel’ since the 19th century. The melt of industry and craftsmanship is still tangible in the powerful building. Original elements of wood are rebuilt after the renovation into a unique hotel. Obviously, wood is central and the luxurious rooms radiates the wooden elements combined with vintage details from the 19th century. This cashless hotel is located on an amazing location nearby the city centre and the green Vondelpark.

Anfahrt

From Central Station you can take tram 2 to ‘Nieuw Sloten’, tram 11 to ‘Surinameplein’, tram 12 to ‘Amstelstation’ tram 13 to ‘Geuzenveld’ or tram 17 to ‘Osdorp Dijkgraafplein’ which cost you approximately €2.90 per person. You can buy your ticket at the conductor in the back of the tram.
Regarding all trams you get off on the stop ‘Leidseplein’. Walk to the northwest on the Kleine-Gartmanplantsoen, direction ‘Leidseplein’. You should walk in south-west direction, towards the ‘Leidsekade’. Walk across the bridge and immediately turn right on the ‘Stadhouderskade’. Take the first street left, the ‘Overtoom’. After a few meters you will find Hotel van de Vijsel on your left.
